Took a couple stock photos of dice today. This wound up being my favorite of the bunch.

We spent a couple hours at our ceramic place this afternoon. This is a picture of the piece I did (pre-glaze, obviously). With St. Patty's Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to do up a piece in the colors of the Irish flag.

26 February, 2010

Though the day started off with snow on the ground, the clouds quickly rolled away. In fact, it warmed up enough that my youngest sister and I spent some time in the sunshine. While we were outside I experimented with photographing shadows a bit.

We spent some recreational time at the range today. I took a picture of some of their stuffed critters; I think of these guys as "The Three Stooges".

I've been meaning to upload this CD on the computer for a while, but just got to it today. "Celtic Legends" by James Galway and Phil Coulter. Excellent music!

I took a walk through our snowy neighborhood this afternoon. Here you see the branch of a cottonwood tree running through the limbs of an evergreen. It's obvious that the two have rubbed together so much that the cottonwood has been stripped of a good portion of its bark.

Alright, the snow has defeated me (for now). I shan't bore you all with any more predominantly white photographs today. Instead, you get to gaze at a picture of my sister's map. This is focused primarily on the continent of Asia, as I spent a good majority of my morning memorizing its forty-eight countries (via a neat trivia game). Why, you may ask? Because I'm weird like that.

20 February, 2010

I have mentioned that I'm starting to run out of clever ways to photograph our snow, right? Good. These are my running shoes. They haven't received much use for the past six months due to a variety of circumstances; our snow being one of the reasons.

19 February, 2010

This picture does not actually represent what I did today, as I didn't have any letters to send out. However, I'm starting to become rather vexed as to how to creatively document our snow. So, when I went out to get our mail this afternoon, I decided to snap a photo of the mailbox. This way, I successfully photographed more than just snowflakes, but know that at the end of the year I'll be able to look back and remember what our weather was like.
