On Tuesday, our landlord tore our yard out to prepare for a landscaping project. What was left of our sunflowers went with the rest of the yard, so sunflower Thursday is now a thing of the past. Our yard is currently dirt, edging, and paving stones. Despite his anti-anything-that-requires-water mindset, he was kind enough to give us a flower box in front of our window. We shall see what we can get to grow in that space next year.
