Today being my "day off" and a chance to stay home and chill, I didn't really feel like working with today's assignment. However, that did not give me an excuse to forgo my daily photograph all together and thus, after some deliberation, I decided on my compass as my subject. I took both colored and black and white photos and found that I couldn't decide between the two; the red needle really stood out and looked nice in the colored shots, but the black and white helped fade the background out and brought the focus to the compass itself. So, deciding I wanted the best of both worlds, I pulled good ole GIMP out again. It seems Saturday is becoming my day for processed photographs.
