Took a trip to one of our local duck ponds today, where we encountered a gaggle of very hungry geese. (At least, that was their story. They were quite disappointed when all we had on us were cameras.) When we didn't produce any food, they set about foraging through the grass. I spent a bit of time kneeling in the grass with my camera, letting them come near at their own pace. Two and a half feet was about the closest they came to me, but that was good enough to get a few closeups. Through observation and experimentation, I learned a few things about photographing fowl. I think I'm going to have to try this again in the near future.

Nice geese! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWe don't see many of these here in Quebec but there were MANY in my home town, Regina, Saskatchewan.
