Whilst I was watching the pups as they played this afternoon, I noticed that the sun was at a near perfect angle for doing a shadow study.

I recently did a graphic for a friend that involved manufacturing the shadow of a horse. This was not an easy task. It actually left me twitching a bit. However, it did bring my attention to the fact that, though I have often photographed shadows in a creative manner, I've not done an actual study of the way they fall based on different lighting, angles, etc.
